This Ain't No Small Town

Family and friends!

Well, it's Monday and it's 2020! Happy New Year y'all! This week was pretty crazy so here's what happened:

Monday: Transfer calls came in and if y'all didn't catch it from my email last week, I'm leaving my beautiful Anacortes. So for our last pday Sis VanDenakker and I did some stuff with the Hermanas which was really fun. We then went and had lessons with some members and they went really well. I said my goodbyes to them and that was rough. After being in an area for so long it's hard to say goodbye but ya know the work goes on.

So long, Apartment 4!
Tuesday: We had a ton of lessons planned, but only two actually pulled through. We had a really awesome lesson with our friend Lee about the Word of Wisdom and he said he doesn't have a problem with any of it so that was super awesome. He is just doing awesome! Then later that day we got a call from one of our members saying that our friend, Renee, was in the hospital. So we ran over there to see what was up and was also able to get her a priesthood blessing. It was really awesome and the spirit was so strong.

Wednesday: TRANSFERS! I finished packing up my stuff that morning and then we drove down to transfers and I found out I'm going YSA! My new companion is Sister Ballard and she's really hard working and a great missionary. After we left, we went and dropped off my stuff and went to a couple member lessons. It's weird going from a family ward to a YSA ward. The work is pretty different, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it.

Thursday: So we live in North Everett which is kind of sketchy, but it's fine. The ward we cover is over two stakes, so we have a pretty big area. We had district council so we met the new people in the district. We had a couple more lessons that night with some ward members. Nothing too exciting happened.

Friday: We did some service at Habitat for Humanity. So, we just helped organize stuff for them. We then had a lesson with member and went out finding. We talked to a couple people and were able to teach some people about the Book of Mormon. We had a lesson with one of our friends who we've been having a hard time getting a hold of. It was really funny because he first tried bashing us and then once we started talking about the First Vision, he went quiet and the Spirit was so strong. Boom, the church is true.

Fanny Pack Friday
Saturday: We got to go do service at a horse farm!! It was so awesome! And the sun came out so that was even more amazing. We also went and played soccer with a member named Able and some other members during lunch. Let's just say it's been forever since I've played. Ha! Ha! We had some more lessons that night and then did weekly planning.

BLUE SKIES!!

Sunday: Church was good! I love church. I honestly don't remember hardly anyone I met, but it will come. We had dinner with Abi and her family. That was pretty much it for the day though.

Well that was the week. I just wanted to tell y'all how much I love the Book of Mormon and the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and every word in that book is for each and everyone of us. I love you all and hope you have a great week!
